A Druid sacred herb. This semi parasitic annual extracts its nutrients from the roots of certain grasses found in poor meadowland. It has tiny oval leaves and small, scallop-edged, white flowers with yellow spots and red veins, resembling a bloodshot eye.
Eyebright has also been used extensively as a visionary herb and as an aid to clairvoyance. Make a tea using one teaspoon of eyebright to one cup of water, dip a cotton ball into the brew and wipe over your eyelids to increase your inner vision.
