Lemon balm, with its subtle lemon scent and flavour, is valued as a culinary, cosmetic and medicinal herb. Dried leaves make a refreshing tea, either iced or hot. Dried leaves are used as an ingredient in many potpourris.
In times of stress and crisis, Lemon Balm can bring peace and calm, and is an excellent herb for people (such as myself) who are habitual worriers. It is soothing, warming and friendly, and can be carried to attract new friendships and relationships into your life, and bathing in Lemon Balm is said to make you appealing in the eyes of others.
